RENT Musicians Needed

Hi, we are seeking two additions to our band for our upcoming production of RENT. We need:

• Guitar Player
• Bass Player

There are 25 performances from July 9 to August 21, 2022. The front page only shows 21 through August 14 as the last four are a planned "extension" which we are going to announce on opening night. The general schedule is Thu/Fri/Sat at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 2:30 PM. The show is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long plus an intermission. So with warm-up and show length, it is about a 3-hour gig.

We are offering up to $75 but we probably have some wiggle room there at the upper end if someone is REALLY good. This does require reading a show score, not just chord charts.

According to the orchestrations, the guitar player will play both Acoustic and Electric guitar and also some Tambourine. The bass is just Electric bass (no stand-up bass is required).

In addition to the performances, we expect the musicians to be at one early rehearsal with the band (probably the week before July 1) and then Sunday, July 3 for a sitzprobe with the cast, and Tuesday/Thursday July 5 and 7 for dress rehearsals and July 8 for a preview/final dress. So its a total of 25 performances and 5 rehearsals (30 in all), all paid the same for each service.
