  • All actors except those playing the roles of Annie, CJ and the orphans must be at least 18. Annie, CJ and the orphans should be about 10-16 or slightly lower or greater if their playable age is within that range.

    All actors under 18 must have a signed parental consent form which includes a commitment to have supervision provided for their young actors. Supervision can be shared among the parents of the various youth cast members so that each parent is not required to attend every rehearsal and performance.

  • In general, all roles in this show are ethnically non-specific. We are seeking a diversity of ethnicities for this production and everyone is encouraged to audition.

  • Most roles in ANNIE WARBUCKS are traditionally either male- or female-identifying. However, many roles could be played by any gender, including trans and non-binary identifying actors. Please be sure to indicate in your registration whether you are willing to take a role in which the traditional gender identity is not the same as yours.

  • Description: Female, youth mezzo, playing 10-14

    The new member of Oliver Warbuck's family. Still the spunky, friendly, outspoken girl we know and love from the comic strips and the original musical ANNIE.

  • Description: Male, baritone, playing 40s-50s

    A successful businessman with a gruff style but a warm heart. Rich, stiff-collared, bullish. Ideally bald or willing to shave his head.

  • Description: Female, alto, playing 40s-50s

    The first female Commissioner of New York City's Child Welfare Service and more than a bit of a scheming bureaucrat. Ruthless, stubborn, conniving.

  • Description: Female, mezzo, playing late 20s-30s

    An employee of the Child Welfare office, and secretly Commissioner Doyle's daughter and partner-in-crime. She attempts to marry Warbucks. Deceitful, smart, insincere.

  • Description: Female, mezzo, playing late 20s-30s

    Loyal secretary to Oliver Warbucks. She eventually becomes his love interest. Poised, professional, sweet, gentle.

  • Description: Male, baritone, playing mid-50s-60s

    The President of the United States, confined to a wheelchair. Social friend and political opponent of Warbucks. Kindly and wise.

  • Description: Female, alto, supporting, playing mid-30s-40s

    A widowed sharecropper who lives in the Tennessee Valley. The loving mother to CJ (see below) who befriends and looks out for Annie after she runs away from New York. Kind, caring and wise. Doubles as a staff member at Doyle's office in Act 1.

  • Description: Male, baritone, playing mid-40s-60s

    Executive Butler to Oliver Warbucks. Loyal, humble, caring, observant. Has the "stiff-upper-lip" of many British butlers. Doubles as a staff member at the White House in Act 2.

  • Description: Female, alto, playing mid-30s-50s

    Warbuck's head housekeeper. Works closely with Drake. Matronly, friendly, loves Annie. Doubles as staff in both Doyle's office and the White House.

  • Description: Male, tenor, playing mid-30s-50s

    Warbuck's personal attorney. Secretly in cahoots with Doyle and Kelly. Business-like until the end when he turns a little crazy.

  • Description: Youth male/female, alto/tenor (limited range), playing 10-14

    The child of Ella Patterson. Can be played as male or female. Befriends Annie.

  • Description: Youth female, soprano/alto (limited range), playing 8-14

    Peaches, Tessie, Pepper and Molly. Friends of Annie from Miss Hannigan’s orphanage. Each orphan has a distinct personality.
