AUDITION DATE, TIME AND LOCATION
Auditions for our first benefit production of Music Theatre International's ALL TOGETHER NOW! A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre, which will also commemorate our grand opening on November 12, 2021, at Landmark's new home, Theatre 33 at 533 Sutter Street (between Mason and Powell) in San Francisco, will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 7 PM to 11 PM and Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 2 PM to 6 PM at Landmark's theatre.
Auditions will be held in one-hour blocks and you only need to be present for the hour you have chosen to audition. Audition requirements are:
- Sing one or two audition song cuttings (1 to 2 minutes each, for a maximum of 3 minutes total) from the songs in the show.
- Read one a monologue (30 seconds to 1 minute) introducing one of the songs in the show. We will provide you with a baseline monologue for most of the songs in the show. You may enhance it if you wish, and you may make the introduction as serious or comedic as you like.
- Be prepared to learn a short dance routine which you will then be asked to attempt on your own. Please come prepared to move and dress accordingly.
We are looking for a diverse cast so all are invited and encouraged to attend our auditions.
THE PRODUCTION SONG LIST
This production is being provided by Music Theatre International, one of the preeminent musical licensing companies, for performance across the globe on the weekend of November 12-15. We will all be a part of a big event that will be taking place in over 1600 theatres.
We were able to choose 16 songs from an illustrious song list of alternatives. We have chosen the following songs:

- Matchmaker (Fiddler on the Roof) - Trio
- Back To Before (Ragtime) - Solo and Backup singers
- This is the Moment (Jekyll & Hyde) - Solo
- Spread The Love Around (Sister Act) - Solos and Ensemble
- Empty Chairs at Empty Tables (Les Miserables) - Solo
- The New World (Songs for a New World) - Trio
- Somewhere That’s Green (Little Shop of Horrors) - Solo
- Consider Yourself (Oliver!) - Solos and Ensemble (features kids)
- Children Will Listen (Into the Woods) - Duet, Trio or Quartet
- Take a Chance On Me (Mamma Mia!) - Solos and Ensemble

We are confident that a large number of local performers will want to participate in this wonderful weekend of music and musical theatre. Please join us!

AUDITION RESOURCES
The songs and monologues listed on THIS PAGE should be used during the audition. In order to access the resources page, you need to register first and you will be sent the resource page password by email.
You may pick any two of the songs to use in your audition, although ideally you will want to choose songs that you would like to be featured in if you are chosen for the cast. Each song is provided in .mp3 format and sheet music .pdf format (the vocal section from the libretto of that show).
Songs range from 1 minute to almost 2 minutes, but the total of your two selections should be close to 3 minutes. If you run over and we are facing audition time constraints, we reserve the right to end your second song early.
You may read a monologue as written if you wish, but we encourage you to enhance (or replace entirely) the provided monologues with your own words. You can make the revised monologues as serious or comedic as you wish. Obviously some songs may call for more humor in the introduction than others (i.e., Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins vs. Empty Chairs At Empty Tables from Les Miserables)
CALLBACK INFORMATION
There are no callbacks planned for this audition. We intend to make our choices based on the initial auditions. We are casting for inclusivity although we obviously have limits on how many performers we can include.
REHEARSAL INFORMATION (PRELIMINARY)
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, October 11, 2021. A detailed schedule will be available as soon as casting decisions are announced. Rehearsals generally will be conducted on Monday-Wednesday evenings and Saturday-Sunday mornings. There will be no rehearsals for the cast on Monday-Friday during the day, on Friday-Saturday-Sunday evenings or Saturday-Sunday afternoons until tech week starts on Monday, November 8, 2021.
COMPENSATION AND CONTRACTUAL INFORMATION
All actors will be required to sign the standard Landmark Musical Theatre Performer's Agreement, which includes rehearsal and performance expectations, rules of conduct and compensation.
Normally, Landmark now pays all performers and staff in accordance with California AB/5 for its regular productions. Because this production is meant to be a benefit for the theatre, all performers are being asked to participate as unpaid volunteers and will receive no base compensation for rehearsals or performances. However, all performers and staff WILL share a pro-rata (based on number of performances) portion of a twenty-five percent (25%) pool of the donations received during the performances.
With our apologies, this production is not available for members of Actors Equity.
