About the Children's Creativity Theater

221 4th Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

The Children’s Creativity Museum offers hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experiences designed to build creative confidence in children ages 2-12. Part of the Museum complex is the Children's Creativity Theater, a 180-seat state-of-the-art performing facility that is one of the "hidden gems" of the San Francisco theater community.

Directions To The Theater

Public Transit
Take an appropriate Market Street SFMTA bus line (7, 9, 9R, KBUS, LBUS, NBUS, TBUS) to Market Street and 4th Street and walk two blocks south on 4th to Howard Street. The Museum is located on the southeast corner behind the historic LeRoy King Carousel. (Or take any trolley line or BART to the Powell Street Station, walk one block east on Market to 4th Street and follow the above directions.)

Theater Health Protocols

At this time, the city of San Francisco is under a mandatory health order requiring:

  • All indoor public activities (such as theatrical performances) are restricted to people who are fully vaccinated (exceptions may be made for people who can not be vaccinated because of age or health conditions, or for religious reasons, but a negative Covid test is required that is no more than 72 hours old.)
  • Masks that cover the nose and mouth are required at all times except when eating, drinking or performing. There is no eating permitted in the theater, so this means essentially that all audience members must wear masks at all time.
  • Social distancing is being requested, and Landmark has blocked off seating so that groups of four may sit together distanced by at least four seats and/or a row. (Larger parties may request seating together through the box office.)
